42 Below Vodka is a New Zealand-owned and produced vodka with a string of international awards including a recent Gold in the 2004 World Spirits Awards. Why New Zealand, you might ask?

42 Below Vodka

W
ell, it's the source of some of the finest GM-free wheat and purest volcanic water springs on the planet - the main ingredients you need to make a great vodka.

But they don't just consider the ingredients; the obsessive producers of 42 Below also consider the air purity; 42 degrees below the equator (hence the name) is what they consider to be an unadulterated base for their spirit.

Once the spirit has been distilled three times it's then washed with their legendary spring water and distilled once again to 42% alcohol - just the right level to retain some of the flavours of the base components.

With all this purity though, you may expect this drink to be utterly tasteless but no, the vodka itself has lovely rounded sweet tones with good depth and is remarkably smooth.

Available in a pure variety as well as four captivating flavours (Passionfruit, Feijoa, Manuka Honey and the recently launch Kiwifruit) 42 Below Vodka has found its loyal fans in the fussiest of bartenders, the most discerning of vodka connoisseurs, and the hippest of cocktail sippers.

You won't find 42 BELOW at every bar, or in every store, but you'll find it at the best. And that's exactly where it should be!
