Despite the fact that an absurd drugs law has already been in existence several decades, an unprecedented delicacy has appeared on the scene in the form of hemp beer.

A little bit about the history. In 1997 KISS played a concert in Juliska, during which two firm friends from the bigbeat era of the 80s, Mira Kolik Kolin and Dalibor Haspina, who hadn't seen one another for years due to the distance separating Prague and Innsbruck in Austria, met up.

In the course of their chat, mention was made of the hemp beer produced by our southern neighbours.

The two friends parted and a year went by without much happening. The second meeting was more constructive.

One thing led to another and the company Cannabis was formed. This was the beginning of financial sacrifice and hardship, and a circuit of the authorities both with the product and with the very name of the company itself.

Ten months can feel like a long time when things aren't going well. But the unbelievable happened. The first truck loaded with crates of hemp beer crossed the Czech-Austrian border. At the present time the beer is available in about twenty bars and pubs in various parts of Prague.
